“O Maria, sis mihi propitia, [O Mary, may you be to me propitiation].” St. Stanislaus Kostka (Henry James Coleridge in his work “The Story of St. Stanislaus Kostka: Of the Society of Jesus” (pub. 1893) says on pg. 33 “All his compositions turned on some of the glories of our Blessed Lady, and his childlike and simple love for her led him to write her name, together with the ejaculation, 0 Maria, sis mihi propitia, on the margin of any book he was using either for devotion or study ; so that when the words met his eye, he might reverently kiss that sweet name and lift up his heart to his Queen and Mother.”)
